Have you ever wondered what separates the wealthy from the rest of the world?
The rich and the wealthy are disciplined with their mindset, and most of them have an empowering morning routine to keep themselves in check.
They know how important it is to start their morning off in the right state of mind…
I have been reading and listening to audiobooks on self-development for a couple of years now. I quickly realized, if you want to be successful, you must learn from those who have actually done it.
We are a product of our environment. So what we put into our mind will eventually create positive reinforcing habits. Not all of us have the luxury to hang out with a bunch of self-made millionaires.
Therefore, the importance of reading the books these key people have written. One of my favorite books is The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod.
This book truly changed my life by inspiring me to establish my own morning routine. There is so much to learn on how to have a prosperous life, and it begins the moment you wake up.
Why is it essential to improve yourself?
It is important because of all the naysayers, critics, and dream stealers who surround us. For some reason, many people feed off our failures. Hence the reason it is so very, very important to keep your LIFE DREAMS to yourself.

At least until you can show results or have a STRONG MINDSET.
If you want your life to change for the better, you must disconnect from these discouraging figures and surround yourself with motivation, inspiration, and encouragement.
Your personality, beliefs, and habits are impacted by the people within your circle.
If you are surrounded by negative and unambitious people, you will have a tough time trying to make your dreams become your reality. Because let’s face it, this will take a strong mindset to go down this road.
So many of you have given up on the idea that it is possible to live your dream life and have settled for a job that is slowly sucking the life out of you. You wake up every morning and perform the same routine over and over while your life never changes.
Success isn’t easy. In fact, it is guaranteed you will fail. But once you realize this is all part of the process, you will embrace the suck and move past it.
On the other side of this resistance is rewards far greater than you can ever imagine.
So many people have been led to believe wealthy individuals just magically become successful. But this is far from the truth. They had to adapt and overcome failure after failure.
If the Write Bros. gave up the first time they experienced resistance when inventing the airplane, where would we be today with world travel?
It Thomas Edison gave up after his many failures, where would the light bulb be today?
History has been made by those with a vision which is so strong it pulls them through their failures until they create the impossible…
Success begins with a vision and then doing whatever it takes to make it happen. But success isn’t about fame and fortune; It’s about being rich in all areas of your life.
Being healthy, happy, compassionate, grateful, and forgiving. These are the foundation for having it all. HAPPY, HEALTHY, and WEALTHY.
This is the key to life and maybe the reason so many people are unhappy…

Start Your Day, the Right Way
Having a powerful miracle morning routine is about making a shift in your morning to accomplish more, jump start your day, and your future.
The outcome of your day is determined by how you begin it.
If you wake up in a bad mood, you’re more likely to continue having a bad day.
If you set the tone right away with your mindset, fill your lungs with clean oxygen, and get your blood pumping through your body, you’re more likely to have a good day.
This is because you are taking care of your MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT.
Let’s face it, you become what you think about. By having an empowering morning routine, you are intentionally preparing for a better future.
You can either continue with your negative beliefs, or you can create a strong morning routine where your mind is more susceptible to autosuggestion. Become like the farmer of your mind and plant new seeds of positivity.
This is why it is so important to wake up an hour early to discipline yourself to become the creator of your reality. We are all the writers of our own story, but somewhere along the line, we let other people write our ending.
Well, I say it is time to take the pen back and write a new chapter. You can have, do, or be anything your heart desires as long as you are willing to make the necessary changes.
This begins the moment you wake up. Your mind is limiting you on what is rightfully yours. It is time to wake up and take your life back…
Start Your Day Earlier
How is this accomplished?
It’s simple, get up earlier!
Specifically, at 5 A.M.
I used to be one of those people needing to have 8 hours of sleep. However, when you start having passion and fire inside reigniting your dreams in life, you won’t need to sleep as much anymore. You’ll want to do everything in your power to make it happen.
I loved this miracle morning routine so much I created my very own.
I now wake up at 4 am.
This gives me an hour to spend with my mind, body, and spirit. While the remaining hour gives me ample time to spend building a full-time blogging business before I am off to my J.O.B.
Many people say I am crazy. I say wait and see who is crazy…
I now have a purpose for jumping out of bed in the morning because of my passion for life. I am tired of working for someone else’s dream.
This is what drives me to do the work while everyone is still in bed.
While the rest of the world is sleeping, I am fueling my mind, body, and spirit. I do some deep breathing, yoga asanas, combinations of the 3 m’s, journaling, and reading all within an hour.
I have never felt so passionate about life!
It is like Christmas every morning…
Because I know I am one step closer to breaking free from the limitations of the job which has been slowly sucking the life out of me.
Create a Habit
Hal explains by creating a miracle morning routine; you are creating a habit. Daily habits separate those who have succeeded from the rest of the world.
When you change your daily habits with new and improved ones, your life will change. I’ll admit, waking up earlier was difficult. However, I continued with this new habit, and eventually, it became easier.
I still struggle every morning with my mind coming up with excuses for me to hit the snooze button and sleep in a little longer. However, I have created such a healthy habit my body automatically gets out of bed, even while going against my conscious thoughts.
My new vision for my future has given me the willpower to pull me through resistance instead of pushing me. And nobody likes to be pushed…
With intention, I was able to plant seeds into my subconscious through repetitive action and change my old patterns and habits.
My Morning Routine
Having a miracle morning routine begins by having your alarm clock away from your bed. Having clock further away forces you to get out of the bed to shut it off.
No more SNOOZING!
I have been doing the miracle morning routine for about a year now and have created an unbreakable routine. I now have the power to start my morning off with the right mindset.
First thing in the morning, I drink a full glass of water with a few drops of therapeutic grade lemon essential oil to help fire up my metabolism, re-hydrate my body and flush out toxins.
Then I listen to some positive motivation clips found on YouTube while heading downstairs where I fire my body up with some yoga poses. After that, I do some Wim Hofbreathwork and rejuvenate my oxygen levels.
You can learn Wim’s breathing techniques on YouTube or read his book Becoming the Iceman.
Next, I begin my meditation practice.
What I have learned is that most successful people meditate. This ancient practice is part of their daily routine.
Who would have thought people like Clint Eastwood, Hugh Jackman, Arianna Huffington, Oprah Winfrey, Jerry Seinfield, Bill Ford, ex-Navy Seal Commander Mark Divine… would meditate?
Well, they do. So I figured if they do it, then it must be working. Because these key individuals have accomplished massive success.
You don’t need to be a religious or a monk to meditate. Any one can do it. Meditation is even becoming popular in the workplace.
In fact, Oprah Winfrey is such a firm believer in this practice that she encourages all her employees to meditate at work.
I have been meditating for a couple of years now and firmly believe this is the foundation for success.
Meditation increased my mental clarity, allowed creative ideas to flow easier, provided me more energy, boosted my immune system, eliminated sciatic pain, helped me sleep better, and not to mention; I am much happier.
Developing a meditation practice for your miracle morning is an excellent way of starting your day by stimulating your energy level. Once you learn how to separate yourself from the negative beliefs of your mind, miracles will begin to happen.
“Meditation is all about the of nothingness. It’s like the ultimate rest, better than the best sleep you’ve ever had. It’s a quieting of the mind. It sharpens everything, especially your appreciation of your surroundings. It keeps life fresh.” Hugh Jackman

Train Your Mind
When an athlete prepares for a competition, they don’t just train their body; they train their mind. The same is for reaching the ultimate goal and becoming successful.
You can’t just go into business for yourself thinking it is going to be easy. This is far from the truth.
You need to prepare your mind for battle.
Just like Bruce Lee said to his students who wanted to learn Kungfu. He told them they must first forget everything they think they know if they’re going to learn Kungfu.
Bruce Lee would have two glasses set up when he explained this. One glass would be filled up with water and the other with cola pop. The clear glass of water represented his mind, while the dark glass of cola represented the student’s mind.
Your mind can be your worst enemy or your strongest ally. Forget everything you know and plant new and improved thoughts into your mind.
Empty Your Mind
“Empty your mind; Be formless, shapeless, shapeless like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup, you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle, you put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee first needed to teach his students how to have no mind, which would create less resistance, making it easier for the student’s mind taking in a new program.
By meditating, you learn how to focus your energy, and where your energy goes, manifestations will follow. This practice helps control your negative thoughts which are racing through your head. Just as Bruce Lee did with his students, becoming successful involves the renewing of your mind, your beliefs, and your paradigms.
I believe meditation is the most import step in your miracle morning routine.
Gratitude Holds Power
After I finish meditating, I write in my gratitude journal. I write down the things which make me feel grateful and happy.
If you are not grateful for what you have now, how are you ever going to be happy when you reach your goals?
If you are miserable now, money and success will not change your happiness. Therefore, the reason many rich people are so unhappy.
They have reached what they believe is the end of the line…
What else can make them happy when they believe they have everything?
I got news for you, money and material things don’t make you happy. But we need money like we need oxygen. This is why the practice of gratitude is so powerful. Be thankful for the little things.
You need to build a foundation for your future success. All these steps you are taking in your miracle morning routine is like the work a farmer does on his field, preparing for the crops that will soon be ready for harvest.
You must fertilize your mind and pull the weeds out (your negative beliefs).
You sow what you reap. Prepare your mindset first, and then you will be ready for your success to come. Therefore, the reason it is important for practicing the art of gratitude.
Keep planting new seeds in your mind…
Try walking around and being thankful for anything you see. It might be a flower or a rainbow. It could be a smile or laughter. Be grateful for your strong legs, which allow you to walk.
It may sound silly, but if you were in a wheelchair, you would change your perspective. The same is with your eyesight.
Be thankful for anything and everything around you. These are the blessings we never notice.
Sometimes it’s the little things we take for granted. Take all those little things away for a while, and I bet you will be thankful when you get them back. Start paying attention to your surroundings and your conservations with people. Thank one person a day for something they did, and you will begin to change your attitude towards life.
The Power of “I AM”
I then write my power I AM STATEMENTS. So many people state daily, I am always sick. I am always broke.
Have you ever thought maybe this is why you always are sick and broke?
By changing the words coming out of your mouth, you will slowly reboot the programming in your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is the holder of your emotions and beliefs, which is holding you back from attaining greatness.
Start paying attention to your thoughts and your words. Over time, you can change your outcome. Therefore, the importance of journaling.
When you write your statements, you are sending a signal through your neural pathways of your brain, changing the neuroplasticity.
Neurons that fire together wire together.
You may not believe in the Law of Attraction, but when you pay attention to the words, you speak and compare them to what you have, you will realize it works.
It is like a genie in a bottle.
Your wish is its command. Command your new reality with powerful I AM STATEMENTS.
I am happy; I am healthy; I am wealthy.
Be patient as it will take time. It takes a strong belief to say I am healthy while you are sick. However, the more you do it, the better you will feel.
I have been practicing my morning routine for over a year, and my immune system has skyrocketed, as I am rarely sick. I even sleep better plus I am happier.
“Change your thinking. Change your life! Your thoughts create your reality. Practice positive thinking. Act the way you want to be, and soon you will be the way you act.” Les Brown
Feed Your Mind
In the last step of my morning routine, I enjoy reading in a self-help book.
I know, who wants to read a self-help book…
But successful people like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and Warren Buffett read every day.
Maybe these successful people are onto something. These people invest in their minds. Many people spend so much money into getting new computers and phones because the program becomes obsolete and slow.
But when it comes to the supercomputer called the “mind”, few people are investing in it.
The mind is the garden of our soul.
When you realize success comes from your mind, it might encourage you to pick up a book and start reading. I highly recommend you purchase The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod the moment you get done reading this blog. Don’t waste any time.
Remember, you need to invest in your mind.
So, the next time you wake up in the morning, think twice about hitting the snooze button multiple times before getting up. Maybe it is time for you to become passionate about life again and jump right out of bed, knowing you are one step closer to reaching your life dreams.
If you need any help to get motivated with this routine, find a friend and keep each other accountable. It is much easier with a partner than it is alone.
It is so much easier to have someone encouraging you during the first month until you have created a strong habit.
